Upcoming events for Summer 2011

It won't be too late to make your summer vacation plans here in the Smokies until at least the middle of August, but that's no reason to delay! There's an exceptionally long list of stuff just waiting for you and your family to come enjoy!

Downtown Gatlinburg itself is a weekend's worth of entertainment within just 10 minutes of walking through the downtown area. Ripley's Aquarium is a must-see as well as Ober Gatlinburg, the city's mountain-high family fun park. There's also the Guinness World of Records Museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not!, Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery, and about 2 dozen or more mini-golf and arcades for the kids to enjoy.

For those of you older who want to see something in the city of Gatlinburg can enjoy the 6th Annual Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales going on from June 17th to August 13 for the 2011 season. The dusk walk through the main downtown area now boasts streetside performers of music, storytelling and the dancing varieties! Definitely gives good reason to take a stroll before calling it a night.

And anchoring all this fun will be our luxury chalets on Ski Mountain Road overlooking the city of Gatlinburg. Play all day and then come back to barbecue or soak in the hot tub as it cools down for the evening. Come take a look at our chalets at http://www.mtnlaurelchalets.com/chalet_index.html. Hope to see you soon!
